Employer’s Perspective:
As an ongoing demonstration of Holy Cross Hospital’s commitment as a center of workplace excellence, we consider it to be very important to support our lactating employees. For the past 13 years, Holy Cross Hospital has been the recipient of the Workplace Excellence Award. For the last 5 years, the hospital has also received the Health & Wellness Trailblazer Award. Both of these awards recognize employers committed to providing a supportive environment to assist employees with work/life balance, as well as supporting mothers in continuing to breastfeed after returning to work. This creates a healthy workplace and community for all.
Employee’s Reaction:
It means a lot to me to be able to return to work and continue to breastfeed my baby. Holy Cross Hospital has accommodations that allow me to be a mom and still return to work. I am able to take a break during my work day and sit in a quiet place where I can relax and pump milk to take home to my baby.
