Employer’s perspective: Receiving the Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace Award from the MD Breastfeeding Coalition is confirmation of our mission as an organization committed to youth development and family support. We offer our conference room which is inviting, spacious, clean, and private as a space to pump; a refrigerator for breast milk storage;  flexible schedules; and frequent breaks.  Our Executive Director is also a certified birth doula, so providing this level of support to mothers who are returning to work was a non-negotiable benefit that we could offer.
