• Chizuk Amuno Congregation and Schools

The Chizuk breastfeeding room came about because of the Middle School at KSDS and has been in use for 15 years. Originally an office was used, but they needed a better space. Administration was approached and the brides’ room was determined to be a good fit. It has no windows and locks, which were two things they felt were necessary.

The teachers have crazy schedules which include free periods. They let teachers who need to pump or nurse know that if the free period does not match up with the time they need to do so, they will provide coverage so the teacher can be away for the 15 minutes or so. The coverage would probably be an administrator or the “sub on call” which they always have.
