Maryland Businesses Pledge to Welcome Breastfeeding
In recognition of August as National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, the Maryland Breastfeeding Coalition launched a Breastfeeding Welcome Here Campaign. Window clings featuring a breastfeeding symbol were provided for area businesses to display as they sign a pledge to be breastfeeding friendly. The pledge assures mothers that the business is complying with Maryland State Law that states a mother may breastfeed her baby in any location, public or private, where she is authorized to be.
The following Maryland businesses have taken the pledge saying Breastfeeding Welcome Here, and will not disturb mothers, who need to feed their babies nor ask them to leave or stop feeding.
